"As a current sophomore, I can say that my two past years at Cal Poly would not be the same if I had not rushed. I will never forget the feeling in my heart when I first fell in love with my house. Not only did I find my home away from home, I found lifelong friends, sisters, and a community of support in which I could turn to for any reason. As you leave high school and enter into college it is easy to be nervous about college classes, fitting in, and adjusting to new scenery. After becoming a part of a sisterhood, I was inspired by the amazing women that surrounded me and was encouraged to begin a new adventure. Joining a sorority has given me confidence, a passion for my philanthropy, an environment for growth, and so much more. I never would have imagined the bond I have made with this group of girls and the influence that they have had on my life. I cherish every moment and know that this sisterhood will continue for life!"

"The importance of Greek life for me has changed over my time in college mirroring my growth. As a freshman, the Greek community provided a home for me with tons of new sisters to call my friends and a big that turned into one of my lifelong buds. As a sophomore, these relationships continued and Greek life gave me the confidence to try new things and explore outdoorsy activities, like rock climbing with one of my sisters and best friends. Now, as a junior Greek life gave me a voice to speak out about injustice on our campus and at large by becoming a Safer representative for my sorority and I continue to pursue rock climbing, which I would not have experienced without finding my home within Greek life as a freshman."

"I started out knowing absolutely nothing about Greek life or the recruitment process. The whole thing actually intimidated me quite a bit and I wasn’t sure if it was for me. I wasn’t considered a “sorority girl” by any stereotypical standard. I tried it out though, because the idea of belonging to a group of young women who share my beliefs and values and who will always have your back sounded great to me. Almost two years later and I am so glad that I joined my sorority. I think the recruitment process, as strange and new as it was, really helped me find my perfect match and I am truly grateful for the friendships and experiences that I have gotten out of going Greek. Now I can say that nobody has to be a “sorority girl” to go Greek because I have seen that there is a place for everyone."
